Denmark Street Mews Buildings
On Site

Sat behind 6 & 7 Denmark Street the proposals for the two mews buildings take on vastly different characters.

Behind 6 Denmark Street the Grade II* listed mews building home to graffiti by iconic punk singer John Lydon (formerly Johnny Rotten). The cartoons include caricatures of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious, his girlfriend Nancy Spungen and manager Malcolm McLaren, The cartoon-clad walls will be protected behind museum-grade glass and form the living area. A joinery piece set away from the listed walls will contain the new kitchen units, staircase and a bathroom

At the neighbouring 7 Denmark Street Mews, a lightweight timber filigree structure sits atop the masonry building below, providing a cafe space overlooking the courtyard.
